The Spinster Sisters will be open this evening, Ja The Spinster Sisters will be open this evening, January 30. We denounce the obscene and brutal actions of ICE. Immigrants are the heart and soul of this country, and this industry. We need to keep our doors open this evening for our staff, for our vendors and for our community. This strike is inspiring, and we hope to find many more ways to show up for the people who show up for the community everyday, in service. Today, we will direct a portion of sales to Jardin Del Pueblo, a local organization that grows food for migrant workers and immigrant families. This is moment of reflection, and a call to action. As a community organization, how can we rally together to support the people who are afraid to go to their jobs? How can we protect them? What happens after today- what are our next steps? Community is all of us, working together to protect those who are being oppressed. Let’s keep this conversation going, and if you happen to go spend money somewhere today, please support a small business.
