Home Fermentation Workshop

WORKSHOP: LEARN THE BASICS OF HOME FERMENTATION The Spinster Sisters is offering the first in a series of workshops at the restaurant. Our first workshop will cover the basics of home fermentation. Participants will prepare two traditional pickle styles, both dry-salted and whole-brined. During the workshop, we will prepare seasonal vegetable ferments, learn about and discuss concepts of fermentation, taste fermented pickles while we enjoy light refreshments in a casual and open environment. This hands-on workshop will allow you to create two fresh and delicious pickles to take home in jars, learn about the process of fermenting vegetables and discover the unique flavors they add to everyday home cooking. Tools, supplies, and ingredients will be provided.
